ZEYAD WALED

Building tools that bridge hardware, data, and human systems.

Focus:

A practical engineering portfolio spanning IoT health monitoring, automation pipelines, AI assistants, and simulation-heavy software projects.

01 / About

About

A developer profile tuned for software engineering, embedded systems, and practical automation.

I am Zeyad Waled, a Software Engineering student at ECU focused on turning software, systems thinking, and automation into dependable working products.

My work spans ESP32-based IoT systems, C/C++ desktop and simulation projects, VR experiences, AI assistants, and business automation pipelines that remove repetitive work.

I build practical systems with clean architecture, measurable performance, and enough polish that people can trust the tool in front of them.

Jun 2025 - Present | Cairo, Egypt

  • Built an automated candidate-scoring pipeline processing 150+ applicants.
  • Delivered HR training to 50+ members.
  • Led the branch's largest event with 75+ attendees.
04 / Projects

Featured Work

Project work focused on software engineering, embedded interfaces, AI assistants, and commercial automation.

Al-Noor Hospital Management System dashboard with patient, appointment, revenue, and doctor metrics
Screenshot set: dashboard, appointment booking, patient records, billing, and doctor scheduling.
Software Product

Hospital Management System

Built because small clinics should not have to manage patients, appointments, records, and payments across disconnected spreadsheets.

Full desktop hospital app covering patient registration, appointments, medical records, and billing. The work is strongest when presented as a workflow product, so the visual slot should show the final UI rather than only repository code.

Role
Team lead for a 7-member build
Tools
C++, Qt6, OOP, Figma
Result
Unified core hospital workflows in one desktop application
GitHub
ATM System Simulation terminal main menu with quick withdraw, normal withdraw, deposit, transfer, balance, and logout options
Screenshot set: login screen and authenticated main transaction menu.
OOP Simulation

ATM System Simulation

Built to make banking edge cases testable in a controlled simulation before any real account balance is at risk.

C++ simulation of ATM behavior with authentication, transaction handling, and account operations. The project should be judged on architecture clarity, so the strongest visual is a class map plus a sample edge-case flow.

Tools
C++, OOP, validation testing
Result
10+ classes validated across 15+ edge cases

BMO AI Assistant handmade prototype with glowing face, controller buttons, and game-inspired body
Prototype visual: physical BMO-inspired assistant body with a screen face and controller-style controls.
AI Assistant

BMO AI Assistant

Built because useful AI feels easier to trust when it has a friendly physical presence instead of living only in a chat box.

AI assistant prototype built around a friendly physical interface and conversational interaction model. The project is strongest when framed as an assistant experience: a recognizable device, a simple user prompt, and a useful response shown through the screen or connected software.

Role
Prototype owner and assistant experience designer
Tools
AI assistant logic, physical prototyping, interface design
Result
Built a tangible assistant concept ready for demo scripting and user testing
GitHub
Embedded Systems

Track Watch

Built because continuous vital tracking should not require hospital-grade equipment that costs thousands.

IoT health monitor integrating MAX30102, MPU-6050, and DS18B20 sensors on ESP32. The project demonstrates embedded reliability through sensor fusion, real-time display logic, and an 8-hour stress test with zero crashes.

Role
Embedded systems developer
Tools
C/C++, Embedded C, ESP32, I2C, OneWire
Result
+/-2 BPM accuracy with stable long-run monitoring
